Pipeline Beach Sunset // Unedited

Flying the drone ^^

Red faces ๐Ÿ™‚

No make up, beach hair & real smiles. Thats how I remember this moment. I remember being perfectly content, sitting in the sand, watching the sunset and not really thinking about any one thing in particular….but everything all at once. Reflecting on my life as a whole and imagining the next exciting thing that will happen. (I’m a dreamer, always have been)ย In order to preserve that memory I decided to leave all these images unedited. Exactly how I remember it.

Also Amber Fillerup was having a meet up at Pipeline! If you don’t know who she is, she’s an amazing lifestyle blogger and the one who inspired me to start my blog a few years ago. So I got to chat with her a little and eat Banzai bowls with my Mom. And my brother brought his drone and Jake and him flew that around. It was a good evening. The people, the place, the feeling. Just an ordinary beach sunset, but completely incredible.

Snorkeling in Hanauma Bay

This was probably my favorite day from our time in Hawaii! I’ve been here before as a kid so I thought snorkeling would be a piece of cake, but my mask was leaking so my nose would fill up with water which made me hold my breath instead of breathing through the snorkel and then I would come up for air and drain my mask…and I kept doing this and Jake and I were cracking up for like 20 minutes. lol We finally switched masks and then everything was fine.

Anyways, we saw so many beautiful fish, I would grab Jake and point at each new fish I saw! The Humuhumus are my favorite but probably not Jakes favorite because one of them literally swam full force right into Jakes mask like it was trying to head butt him or something haha He claims an eel also tried to eat him but I never saw it…lol  We basically spent the whole time laughing and in awe of all the beauty and it was just a really really wonderful day.

Also if you are looking for an underwater phone case, I have this one and it works great! And if you are wondering how the sound/speaker works with the case on, I haven’t noticed any problems at all, everyone can still hear me when talking on the phone and music plays just fine ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope you are having a great week!

A Swim with Wild Sea Turtles

For Christmas Jake bought me a leather journal to write about all our travel adventures. The feeling of being able to re-read our memories of different places, knowing that it was authentically written in that place and time…well I just love it ๐Ÿ™‚ So here is a journal entry from our time in Hawaii!

Oahu, Hawaii // 5-25-17

Today we went to Haleiwa on the North Shore. Im not sure the name of the beach but we swam with turtles! It was magical! ๐Ÿ™‚ I saw at least 5 of themย and they swam right up to us and around us and we just floated next to them. They are so cute and calm. It was an amazing experience that I hope to have again someday!

Jake and I also went for a walk along the beach and found some tide pools and explored around there for a while and after we all went to Matsumoto shaved ice which was super yummy!

Happy Wednesday friends!

With Love,

Aloha Lanikai Beach

The beach from my memories, the one my mom grew up with and the first place we stopped after landing on Oahu. Lanikai. It always feels like home even though I’ve never lived here. My soul longs for the sun, the sand, and the sea, so the past 9 days have been amazing and refreshing. This was the first day and shortly after we got plate lunch and then headed to my Auntie Corey’s house. After that we napped because we were so tired from the 3 hour time difference, but on the upside we woke up early everyday! I have lots more photos and fun things to share so make sure you subscribe by entering your email address and hitting the subscribe button below ๐Ÿ™‚ that way you won’t miss anything good!

ps. You can shop my swimsuit here, it fits super well and is under $20 ๐Ÿ™‚

Friday Four // Valentines Edition

Hello friends and happy weekend! Its another rainy day here so Jake and I are headed to Costco yahoo!! Today I wanted to share some highlights from this past week and theres some pretty exciting news at the end so keep reading ๐Ÿ˜‰

One. School Together.ย Jake and I go to school in Rocklin on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I love it! The car rides down and back, Jake waiting outside my class for me to be done and having lunch together, whether its trying a new place or just eating packed lunches in our car together…these are some of my favorite times ๐Ÿ™‚

Two. Paw Print Project.ย My baby girl Daizy is getting pretty old. Its hard for her to make it up and down stairs now, and both of my dogs are almost completely blind. Its saddening but it doesn’t seem to keep them down. They are both still their same sweet and happy selves and still just as obsessed with hotdogs ๐Ÿ™‚ So my mom and I decided to do this paw print project with them that we have been saying we wanted to do for years. It was such a perfect sunny day and both Daizy and Rex were such good sports about it. I’m so happy and relieved to have this cute memory to hang on my wall ๐Ÿ™‚

Three.ย Jaedyn and Quinci turn 2! These little love bugs turned two whole years old on Valentines day! My sister in law threw the cutest little party and it was fun to watch them decorate cupcakes and open presents that they wanted almost nothing to do with haha Love those twinners so much!

(eating Sees candy like my Nana//One bite out of each) The best way ๐Ÿ˜‰

Four.ย Valentines Day 2017! Our Valentines day this year was mostly uneventful as it was a Tuesday and we are driving/on campus from 10am – 10 pm. But Jake did buy me this beautiful suitcase because we are going to….. HAWAII!!! Can you tell I’m excited?!?! Jake keeps cracking up because I walk around the house singing “Oh were going to the hukilau” all day long! (Its a hawaiian song… look it up on youtube)haha

So yeah, thats all I have for you today. Have a beautiful weekend!!

With love Lindsay
