A Swim with Wild Sea Turtles

For Christmas Jake bought me a leather journal to write about all our travel adventures. The feeling of being able to re-read our memories of different places, knowing that it was authentically written in that place and time…well I just love it πŸ™‚ So here is a journal entry from our time in Hawaii!

Oahu, Hawaii // 5-25-17

Today we went to Haleiwa on the North Shore. Im not sure the name of the beach but we swam with turtles! It was magical! πŸ™‚ I saw at least 5 of themΒ and they swam right up to us and around us and we just floated next to them. They are so cute and calm. It was an amazing experience that I hope to have again someday!

Jake and I also went for a walk along the beach and found some tide pools and explored around there for a while and after we all went to Matsumoto shaved ice which was super yummy!

Happy Wednesday friends!

Aloha Lanikai Beach

The beach from my memories, the one my mom grew up with and the first place we stopped after landing on Oahu. Lanikai. It always feels like home even though I’ve never lived here. My soul longs for the sun, the sand, and the sea, so the past 9 days have been amazing and refreshing. This was the first day and shortly after we got plate lunch and then headed to my Auntie Corey’s house. After that we napped because we were so tired from the 3 hour time difference, but on the upside we woke up early everyday! I have lots more photos and fun things to share so make sure you subscribe by entering your email address and hitting the subscribe button below πŸ™‚ that way you won’t miss anything good!

ps. You can shop my swimsuit here, it fits super well and is under $20 πŸ™‚

Road Trip Conversations

Hi guys! By the time you are reading this we will be on a plane to Hawaii! Jake has never been so i’m excited to show him my favorite beach and explore some new places too.

Here are some photos from San Francisco last week. I had an appointment in the city so we made a little road trip out of it and saw the bridge and got yummy snacks. But my favorite part was actually just talking in the car on the way there and back and singing songs together πŸ™‚

We were talking about high school memories and how different our experiences were, embarrassing stories, etc. and I just realized how different we both are now and how thankful I am that we met when we did. haha Even looking back on how we have changed in just the past 5 years since we met is crazy to me. Our dreams and goals have taken a complete turn and its exciting! I guess what I’m getting at is it’s really important to be with some one who you can change and grow and learn with and keep moving forward despite all the negative, and I’m grateful that I have someone to do that with even though we are both so dang stubborn sometimes lol

Thats all for now πŸ™‚ Thanks for reading and if you want to see beautiful beach pictures and read about our adventures on Oahu make sure to subscribe and follow along on Instagram! Also I’m completely hooked on insta stories now that they have filters (adios snapchat) so you can catch me in real time on there πŸ™‚

Free

Dress // Glasses // Sandals

I’m free! Spring semester is over! Hallelujah!

A few things….

  1. You’re looking at a 4.0 student. (Had to brag for a second because I don’t think that has happened since the 6th grade) lol
  2. In case you havn’t watch my insta stories, i’m a coffee person now…well maybe I’m just a ‘Dutch Bros Iced Kicker” person. (It’s so yummy) But anyways at 25 I finally like coffee. AND mustard! What is happening to me? I heard your taste buds change every 7 years…?
  3. This dressΒ has pockets. Do I need to say more? Its so comfy and the buttons down the front and detail on the sides. Super cute!
  4. I’m trying to work on making more videos and just filming in general. I have a few videos planned out and are coming to my youtube channel this summer, but if you have any suggestions for things you would like to see leave a comment below πŸ™‚

Have a lovely day!

Red Plaid

Walking through the city of Boston was so fun but so cold! Im so glad I had mittens, boots, and this coat! Unfortunately it is sold out but I will link a similar one here. We stopped at the Boston museum of science and spent a few hours there. We filmed a lot while we were there so I’m hoping to make a vlog soon! I think this was Jakes favorite part because it was so interactive. He got to hold a brain! Kind of gross but kind of cool, I can’t decide.

We had the best food this day too! We went to a restaurant called Al Dente. I got the chicken soup with homemade tortellini and it was delicious. I also had the best slice of cheese pizza I’ve ever eaten, from the train station of all places! It was perfect and I’m wishing I had a large all to myself at this very moment!
