Wedding Flowers

Yesterday we went to Flora Fresh and I picked out my wedding flowers! (well most of them) My mom came with us and Jake even browsed for a short while. I loved walking up and down aisles of fresh flowers even if it was freeeeeezing in there. And they smelled SO good. Unfortunately my pink peony dream is not attainable in late September, but I found a bunch of other flowers that I really love. Some of the blooms that will be making an appearance are Juliet garden roses, Anemone, and Dahlias. I’m still deciding on the greenery and maybe throwing in a few more flowers. Any advice is welcome! Hope you all have a great Labor day weekend 🙂

County Fair

I only attended the Nevada County Fair one day this year(I normally go at least 3 days), but it was still super fun! In the morning I went for a couple hours with my future family (Jake’s Mom, sisters, and cousins) and I got to see my niece Paisley go on rides for the first time! She just turned 2 and it was such a joy seeing her have so much fun!

Jake and I went back that night to see the rodeo, but we left early because one of the bulls got hurt and we just didn’t want to see anymore. We also went and ate a bunch of food, got spray on tattoos, and took Photo Booth pictures! It was a really fun day and I can’t wait till next year 🙂

I don’t know why our eyes are open, I think we were really excited to get a picture of our tattoos haha!

City of Trees

Yesterday we attended the City of Trees concert! It was pretty fun besides for it being 100 degrees! We had VIP tickets so we got dinner and drinks for free, we didn’t have to wait in any line to get in the concert, we had a fenced off shaded area that was semi close to the stages AND we got to use nicer bathrooms (not port o potties, YAY!) We laid a blanket out in the shade and ate our free meals which were BBQ and potato salad (Sooo delicous). We also ate a bunch of other food from the many food trucks that were there. I joked the whole time about how this was just a glorified picnic haha!

Jake knew a lot of the bands but besides Of Monsters and Men I hadn’t really heard of most of them. Our favorites were Night Riots, Halsey, Elle King, and Of Monsters and Men of course. Both stages were directly in the sun and not everyone was willing to brave the heat so we had a pretty good spot near the stage for Of monsters and Men. But we decided to move when some people next to us decided it was a good time to drop acid. When Elle King saw some guys fighting in the crowd she started singing about them, saying they were lame and needed to get out. It was actually really funny and the whole crowd was cheering and laughing. Overall we had a good time, here are some pictures 🙂 Thanks for reading!

Ps. I redesigned the blog over the weekend. It should be easier to navigate and you can subscribe now! Hope you like it!

Short but sweet

Mine and Jakes all time favorite thing to do together is go on spur of the moment trips!  No planning, no booking in advanced, we will literally just be brushing our teeth or doing the dishes and the other one is like “hey lets go somewhere” and then we just leave. Okay, we throw some clothes in a duffel, and maybe a toothbrush and phone charger too, but basically its that random. Our most recent adventure was 2 days ago. We went to south lake Tahoe and it was a blast! We were running errands in Roseville when we decided to go so we literally had nothing on us this time besides our wallets and phones (this was the most unprepared we’ve ever been.) Since we had no clothes we stopped at TJ Maxx and I’m so glad we did because they had everything we needed including a phone charger! (I love taking pictures and I would have been so sad if I couldn’t take any) I also found the cutest and comfiest dress ever for only $12 and I got it in two colors because I couldn’t pass up the deal. I couldn’t find the exact one on their website but here is a v neck style. We stayed at the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel and it was so nice! The beds were so soft it felt like we were sleeping on a cloud and the inside of the hotel has trees and ponds with koi fish, so it felt kind of exotic! We ate at The Naked Fish for dinner and we definitely recommend it. Some of you may not know that I do not like sushi, at all. But Jake absolutely loves it so we go to a lot of sushi restaurants. I have to say that the Golden Calamari was delicious and Jake can’t stop talking about how good the Pepperfin was! We actually tried to go back the next day but it wasn’t open till 4pm, so we ended up driving over to The Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort and eating at their Bear Moon bar and grill! (I stayed here for my Bachelorette party, so I knew the food was good) I wish we could have gone in the water but it was so great to just get away with my love even if it was for just one night. So here are some pics (wish I would have gotten more :/ ) from our short but sweet spontaneous trip to south lake Tahoe! Thanks for reading!
