Bumpdate // week 25

How far along? 25 weeks!

Gender? Girl

Weight gain? 15 lbs

Maternity clothes? I found maternity pants! Yay!

Sleep? Once in a while i’ll wake up and can’t fall back asleep for hours. Other than that sleep is still great.

Best moment lately?  I love just talking with Jake about all the things we want to teach her and all the adventures we want to take her on 🙂

Food cravings? McDonalds french fries, broccoli, and fruit!

Movement? Lots 🙂

Size? She’s as big as a head of cauliflower and about 1.5 lbs!

Symptoms? none right now. I feel great 🙂

Looking forward to? My baby shower is next weekend and I can’t wait to see everyone! Nesting definitely came early for me (like two months ago lol) so its been hard not to buy stuff for her. Ive been ready for this for years so if time could just pass a little quicker that would be great. haha

Pregnancy Food Journal

Baby girl is kicking me as I type this which is reminding me that I’m hungry and I really want Pops cereal buuuut we are out! So now I’m just staring at this picture of the most beautiful cereal I’ve ever seen and its the worst! hahaha

Anyways I’ve been eating mostly all the same things for every meal every day just because thats what sounds good in the moment. Or all the moments…. Actually meat has pretty much grossed me out for this whole pregnancy besides for having lunch meat on a sandwich or an In n Out cheeseburger…. So I don’t really know what you call that. haha 🙂 Whatever, lets just get started..

BREAKFAST

You can pretty much count me in for some helping of peanut butter every morning whether its a PBJ on wheat or toast with peanut butter + milk. If its not that then I make a smoothie and that peanut butter toast will soon follow within 30 minutes of consuming the smoothie.

And heres the recipe for my favorite healthy smoothie: 4-6 oz of OJ + 6 or 7 spoonfuls of frozen mixed berries + about a cup of Greek Gods Honey Vanilla Yogurt (THEE BEST) Blend until smooth! I basically eyeball everything. I like mine kind of thick so you can add more juice or less yogurt depending on what you like. You get the picture…Its super yummy!

LUNCH/DINNER

For lunch and dinner its been either:

1. PBJ on wheat + Milk (If I didn’t have it for breakfast)

2. Macaroni and cheese + peas (I’ve been told this is a weird combo but I’ve eaten it all my life)

3. Vegetable fried rice + teriyaki sauce (Jake has been making big batches of this for me 🙂 )

SNACKS

My go to snacks are usually string cheese, cereal, cheese its, peas, broccoli, or fruit – apples, mandarins, grapes, strawberries, blueberries, and blood oranges. And I have not been able to get enough milk!

Well thats it! I always love reading food journals so I thought id write my own. I think it will be interesting during future pregnancies to read and compare.

Bumpdate // week 22

How far along? 22 weeks! We are over halfway there to meeting our little girl! I can’t wait to see what she looks like and kiss her precious face 🙂

Gender? Girl

Weight gain? 15lbs

Maternity clothes? I bought 2 maternity tanks the other day, but still on the hunt for pants that I like. Until then leggings it is.

Sleep? Sleep is great!

Best moment lately? She really started moving and kicking over the last week! I love it so much! My second favorite moment was at our last doctors appointment. We went over her anatomy scans and he said everything looked perfect! Which is really good to hear as i’d read that is when they can give you bad news.

Food cravings? Still peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on wheat with a glass of milk. All the fruit I can eat. Smoothies! And iced kickers from dutch brothers 🙂

Movement? She wiggles all day and when I lay down at night. I love it. Jake even got to feel her kicking the other night!

Size? Baby is the size of a coconut!

Symptoms? Hungry a lot and occasional lower back pain.

Looking forward to? Collecting more things for Penny and her nursery. Little girl stuff is so freaking cute 🙂

Bumpdate // week 18

How far along? As of Christmas day I’m 18 weeks! Almost halfway to meeting baby Penny 🙂

Gender? Girl

Weight gain? 11 lbs

Maternity clothes? Not yet, just sticking to leggings.

Sleep? Weird dreams but other than that sleep has been wonderful.

Best moment lately? Getting cute baby clothes for Christmas 🙂

Food cravings? Fresh strawberries with angel food cake and whipped cream!

Movement? Tiny feelings that I’m guessing are baby girl but nothing too distinct.

Size? She’s now the size of a sweet potato. (My other app says she’s the size of a croissant!)

Symptoms? Just hungry haha

Looking forward to? My mid pregnancy scans to see how she’s measuring out!

Bumpdate // week 15

Theres a tiny bump now! At our 14 week ultrasound we heard babys heart beat again and it was perfect and doc said she was moving all over the place 🙂

How far along? 15 weeks

Gender? Girl 🙂

Weight gain? 5lbs

Maternity clothes? Not yet

Sleep? Sleep has been great along with naps a couple times a week

Best moment lately? Jake picked out some stuff for her while he was out shopping and its the cutest thing to me 🙂

Food cravings? Peanut butter and Jelly with milk, kraft singles (haha) and fruit – strawberries, kiwis, apples, & mandarin oranges.

Movement? I think its still too early but I have felt little fluttering feelings when I’m laying in bed and I feel like its baby…? but could also just be everything stretching and moving in there.

Size? Baby is the size of an avocado 🙂

Symptoms? Back pain and feeling sick if I haven’t eaten in a while.

Looking forward to? Christmas 🙂
