Growing up I was never interested in make up. Unless you count Lip Smackers (remember those?) because I always had about 172 different flavors of that stuff 🙂 but seriously, besides for wearing mascara to school dances I never wore ANY make up. But over the last 2 years I’ve come to really enjoy discovering and trying new brands and products. So today I’m sharing with you my current makeup favorites that I’ve really been loving!
POREfessional – Hands down my absolute favorite make up product ever. It’s the first thing I put on because it does an excellent job of smoothing out your face so your foundation doesn’t sink into your pores. ps. It smells divine!
Hello Flawless Liquid Foundation – This foundation is great for if you are wanting a lighter and brighter coverage. It has SPF 25 and I love that it doesn’t take away from my natural look. (I also have this foundation for days that I want a fuller coverage and its great as well) And I use this Brush to apply my foundation and it works super well!
Tarte Pro Glow Palette – My most recent purchase that I fell in love with after one use. The whole thing is awesome and It includes my favorite highlighter to date called “Burst” Its the best!
The last two are awesome because you can get them at Target and they are this mascara and this blush! I don’t wear blush all the time but I wanted to include this one because its so pretty. And thats all I wear when I do decide to do my make up which is pretty much Tuesdays and Thursdays because those are the days I go to school haha 🙂
My February bag from Ipsy came with nail polish, lip gloss, eye shadow, toner and hair butter. I haven’t tried everything yet because to be honest I’m going to have to google what toner is and how to use it (haha) but I did discover my new FAVORITE nail polish! Its called Trust Fund, I wore it for Valentines day and this shade of pink is so so pretty, and the brush is BIG and flat so I found it much easier to lay smoothly on my nails. I only had to do one coat and It stayed on for a whole week with no chipping! That is really long for me, my nail polish normally chips within 24 hours even when I go to salons.
Thats all for now, have a good weekend!
Hair & Makeup: Angela Nunnink // Long sleeve: Free People (similar here) // Poncho: Michael Farrell // Boots: Franko Sarto (similar here)
Yesterday I had the opportunity to get my hair and makeup done by the wonderful Angela Nunnink. She is seriously so talented, I wish she could come to my house every morning to do my makeup! I love my eye make up here, i’ve never seen myself with this look before. Normally she does more natural looking makeup but we were doing an editorial look so she needed to use eye liner on me and I was cracking up because it was my first time ever having it put on and it tickled so much and I kept blinking. haha (whoops, sorry Angela!)
She did a bunch of braids and kind of wrapped them over the top of my head and it looked super cool, but this is the second look, (pictured above) she threw together this fishtail braid, which is my favorite braid and hairstyle 🙂
Any ways I hope everyone is having a good week!
A month ago I signed up for Ipsy and a few days ago I received my November glam bag! If you haven’t heard of Ipsy, it’s where you receive a small makeup bag with 5 beauty products in it every month. And the best part is that it’s only $10 a month! I was so excited to try it because shopping for makeup at department stores and drugstores is very overwhelming for me. There are so many options and I find myself not being able to decide what to try. Ipsy is nice because they decide for you, and when you sign up online you can pick what kind of things you would most like to receive in your glam bag. (eye shadows, mascaras, lipsticks, brushes, etc.)
This month I received China glaze nail polish, Leeani Eco skin booster, a pointed crease brush, Smashbox full exposure mascara, and a gold eye crayon inside of a galaxy print makeup bag!
Sparkly nail polish just in time for Christmas and New Years!
My new favorite duo! ^^^ The gold crayon is subtle but fancy and perfect for a holiday look, but honestly i’ll probably wear it everyday because I love it so much.
Thanks for reading my review on Ipsy glam bags 🙂 Now go sign up and try it! It really is so so fun!
