Love this mellow little boy^^^
And this wild little boy ^^^ 🙂
Happy Monday everyone! Our weekend was full of fun! It started with my Aunt and Uncle and their 4 sweet kids coming to town so we kicked off the weekend with a pool party and a BBQ!
Second, My niece turned 4! What?!?! She had so much fun on her slip n slide. seeing her light up when she opened her presents and blew out her candles was the best! Love her so much. Happy Birthday Paisley Rae 🙂
My sister and baby Oaks came to town too! Well I guess I shouldn’t say baby because he’s walking! Everything needs to slow down! All my babies are getting big too freaking fast! So glad they are here though and excited to hang out!
Sunday was full of more swimming and hanging out by the pool, a yummy dinner, baking chocolate chip cookies and then a movie. For a while all the kiddos snuggled up on Jake and it was kinda the cutest ever. A perfect Sunday night 🙂
Wishing you a wonderful week!
Flying the drone ^^
Red faces 🙂
No make up, beach hair & real smiles. Thats how I remember this moment. I remember being perfectly content, sitting in the sand, watching the sunset and not really thinking about any one thing in particular….but everything all at once. Reflecting on my life as a whole and imagining the next exciting thing that will happen. (I’m a dreamer, always have been) In order to preserve that memory I decided to leave all these images unedited. Exactly how I remember it.
Also Amber Fillerup was having a meet up at Pipeline! If you don’t know who she is, she’s an amazing lifestyle blogger and the one who inspired me to start my blog a few years ago. So I got to chat with her a little and eat Banzai bowls with my Mom. And my brother brought his drone and Jake and him flew that around. It was a good evening. The people, the place, the feeling. Just an ordinary beach sunset, but completely incredible.
This was probably my favorite day from our time in Hawaii! I’ve been here before as a kid so I thought snorkeling would be a piece of cake, but my mask was leaking so my nose would fill up with water which made me hold my breath instead of breathing through the snorkel and then I would come up for air and drain my mask…and I kept doing this and Jake and I were cracking up for like 20 minutes. lol We finally switched masks and then everything was fine.
Anyways, we saw so many beautiful fish, I would grab Jake and point at each new fish I saw! The Humuhumus are my favorite but probably not Jakes favorite because one of them literally swam full force right into Jakes mask like it was trying to head butt him or something haha He claims an eel also tried to eat him but I never saw it…lol We basically spent the whole time laughing and in awe of all the beauty and it was just a really really wonderful day.
Also if you are looking for an underwater phone case, I have this one and it works great! And if you are wondering how the sound/speaker works with the case on, I haven’t noticed any problems at all, everyone can still hear me when talking on the phone and music plays just fine 🙂
Hope you are having a great week!
For Christmas Jake bought me a leather journal to write about all our travel adventures. The feeling of being able to re-read our memories of different places, knowing that it was authentically written in that place and time…well I just love it 🙂 So here is a journal entry from our time in Hawaii!
Oahu, Hawaii // 5-25-17
Today we went to Haleiwa on the North Shore. Im not sure the name of the beach but we swam with turtles! It was magical! 🙂 I saw at least 5 of them and they swam right up to us and around us and we just floated next to them. They are so cute and calm. It was an amazing experience that I hope to have again someday!
Jake and I also went for a walk along the beach and found some tide pools and explored around there for a while and after we all went to Matsumoto shaved ice which was super yummy!
Happy Wednesday friends!
The beach from my memories, the one my mom grew up with and the first place we stopped after landing on Oahu. Lanikai. It always feels like home even though I’ve never lived here. My soul longs for the sun, the sand, and the sea, so the past 9 days have been amazing and refreshing. This was the first day and shortly after we got plate lunch and then headed to my Auntie Corey’s house. After that we napped because we were so tired from the 3 hour time difference, but on the upside we woke up early everyday! I have lots more photos and fun things to share so make sure you subscribe by entering your email address and hitting the subscribe button below 🙂 that way you won’t miss anything good!
ps. You can shop my swimsuit here, it fits super well and is under $20 🙂
